Norca Air Conditioning and Heating Corp. was established in 2017 by David Nordhagen and Jorge Banos, continuing a proud family tradition that dates back to 1972. The Norca name carries deep roots in South Florida’s HVAC industry, originally founded as Norca Air Conditioning and Refrigeration by David’s grandparents, Manuel and Carmen Rodriguez.
The name “Norca” was created as a combination of their daughters’ names--Nora and Carmen—and quickly became known for professionalism, integrity, and expert service. Under the leadership of Bruce Nordhagen (David’s father), Norca became one of the first local contractors to integrate digital systems for tracking service calls and warranty work, setting a standard for innovation and responsiveness that we still build upon today.

A New Chapter, Built on Experience
In 2017, after both his grandfather and father retired, David Nordhagen--a third-generation mechanical contractor—partnered with Jorge Banos to launch Norca Air Conditioning and Heating Corp. Their goal: to continue the family’s legacy of quality HVAC work, while expanding into modern residential and commercial service, new construction, and custom mechanical solutions.
How We Work
We operate two core divisions:
- Service Division: Residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and equipment replacement throughout Miami-Dade and southern Broward counties.
- Construction Division: Licensed and experienced in plan-and-spec HVAC installation for new construction and major renovations. Our team has completed projects in Miami-Dade, Broward, Orange, Sarasota, and Collier counties, and is currently working on projects in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
